Fantastic project focussed on preparing your child for life long learning through laying a foundation of:

• Early reading skills, focussing on sounds, letter, stories and rhyme
• Early numbers, shapes space and measure

All this through play and music,  after the session families take home resources, ideas and learning packs to continue the fun at home.

These sessions are number limited, due to the high level of staff to family ratio.  Please speak to the Children’s Centre team to book a place.

Our team gaining qualifications to meet your needs

Due to the many requests from our families we are delighted to inform you that Miss Vicki Pierce is now joining our team as a Holding Hands Practitioner and Mrs Jagjeet Gibson will be a qualified Parent As First Teachers Expert.

If you feel there is anything we can do to support your child or other members of the family please speak to one of our Children’s Centre team.

Counselling Services – Janet Wilson

Janet is now available to see parents each Tuesday morning.  Please make bookings by speaking to one of our Children’s Centre team.  These are very popular sessions.  If you cannot make your appointment so that time and money is not wasted please contact our office on 01494 445177 as soon as possible.

2 year old care

We are looking at expanding our Little Owls Provision.  The reason for this is to:

• Support more parents back to work and into the voluntary sector.
• To prepare children for life long learning.

Is your child 3 years old before September 2012?

We will be admitting new entrants to our Nursery in September 2012.  We will be writing to parents in the next two weeks please ensure:

• You accept your place by returning the form to the office.
• Sign up for your prepare for Nursery sessions at the Children’s Centre.
